The annual Maha Pahan Pinkama, organized to bestow merit on Late Deshabandu Dr. Hudson Silva, Mrs.Silva and those who donated eyes and tissues, was successfully held on 25th October 2025 at the historic Dimbulagala Forest Monastery. Many devotees from the Eye Donation Society headquarters as well as from all over the island joined this event in buses.
After arriving at the Dimbulagala Forest Monastery in a spectacular perahera, devotees offered 50 monks drinking alms, participated in a Bodhi Pooja Pinkama and finally bestow merit to their deceased relatives by pouring water.
All these activities were carried out under the guidance of the Chief Incumbent of Dimbulagala Forest Monastery, Most Venerable Dimbulagala Rahulalankara Nayaka Thera.
The following day, devotees also had the opportunity to pay homage to the historic Somavathi shrine.
