The sixth program of “Sisu Nethraloka” was held at WP/Pili/Vishwaloka Vidyalaya, Moratuwa on 12th March 2024. Students of the WP/Pili/Dhammarathana Vidyalaya also participated in this program. These schools were identified through the District Secretary of Colombo. The Sri Lanka Eye Donation Society also supplied the transportation facility to transport students of the Dhammarathana Vidyalaya to Vishwaloka Vidyalaya, where the program was held.
A team of Sri Lanka Eye Donation Society staff, including optometrists, participated in this program.
This program was carried out to identify low-vision students from low-income families and to provide them with high-quality spectacles. 266 students from both schools were checked during the program and 17 students identified with low-vision were given high-quality spectacles worth Rs.68,000.00 on 08th April 2024.
