The 15th edition of the island-wide “Sisu Nethraloka” program, conducted by the Sri Lanka Eye Donation Society to screen the eyesight of school students, was successfully held on October 7, 2026, at Paranthan Hindu Maha Vidyalayam in the Kilinochchi District.
During the program, the eyesight of 322 students attending the school was examined. Among them, 20 students with vision impairments were identified, and arrangements are being made to provide them with spectacles to improve both their distance and near vision.
The school was selected for this program based on a list provided by the District Secretary of Kilinochchi.
