The 7th edition of the “Sisu Nethraloka” program series conducted by the Sri Lanka Eye Donation Society covering the entire island to examine the eyes of the students from low-income families and prepare high-quality spectacles that improve distance and near vision free of charge for the students with poor eyesight was successfully conducted on 03rd April 2024, centering on the Gomarankadawala Maha Vidyalaya, Trincomalee District and the students of Kandamalawa Primary School also participated.
Under this program, the eyes of 302 students were examined in both schools, and spectacles were prepared for 21 students with low vision and delivered to the school on 25th July 2024.
These schools were selected based on the recommendation of the Trincomalee District Secretary.
