In conjunction with the Vesak festival on 24th May and 25th May 2024, a Dansal was held at the Eye Donation Society Headquarters premises. More than 3,000 people participated for this and they were given rice, string hoppers etc. Ice cream was served as dessert.
On 24th May 2024, Mr. Sanjeeva Wimalagunaratne, Director General of the Secretariat of Non-Governmental Organizations participated in this program as an honored guest.
In addition to the above, a program for eye check-up and distribution of spectacles was also held. 200 spectacles were distributed free of charge during this program. A consent form signing program was also held at the Human Tissue Bank building.
A special “Bhakti Gee” program was also presented by the girls of D.P.Wijesinghe Development Center, Gonagalpura, Bentota.
